Chelti Winery - მეღვინეობა ჩელთი

Chelti Winery is located in the foothills of the Caucasus Mountains overlooking the fertile Alazani River Valley, which is famous for its history of wine production and its suitable climate for growing several unique indigenous grape varieties.

The history of Chelti Winery began a century ago. In the Shilda village, the ancestors of the Mirianashvili family built the first cellar in the household vineyards and expanded winemaking. Since then, the family's tradition of winemaking has been unbroken.

Vineyards and industry combined in one area allow Winery to control the process of picking and crushing grapes. The soil composition in the Shilda Village area varies per variety: the Chelti grapes are harvested from sandy-gravel soil. The domain's astonishing characteristic is its wine cellar, located 7 meters deep underground.
