Coming from a family of winemakers, Iago Bitarishvili was determined to make wines in the most authentic way of his region, Mtskheta, and he knew it had to be organic.
With this in mind, he started bottling the Qvevri wines from the only white grape varieties, Chinuri, in 2003. He became the pioneer in Georgia by turning his family vineyards into fully certified organic viticulture in 2015 and was also the first who exported Qvevri wine to Europe, in 2006.
