Iago's Wine - იაგოს მარანი


Aus einer Winzerfamilie stammend, war Iago Bitarischwili entschlossen, Weine auf die authentischste Art und Weise seiner Region, der Mzcheta, herzustellen, und er wusste, dass sie organisch sein mussten.

With this in mind, he started bottling the Qvevri wines from the only white grape varieties, Chinuri, in 2003. He became the pioneer in Georgia by turning his family vineyards into fully certified organic viticulture in 2015 and was also the first who exported Qvevri wine to Europe, in 2006.

Iago's cellar is in his home, and that home is in the village of Chardakhi in Mtskheta, Georgia.
